Orillia OPP were kept busy over the weekend dealing with 213 calls

Over the weekend, the Orillia Ontario Provincial Police received 213 calls for service. Police responded to calls received from Severn Township, Ramara Township, and the City of Orillia. The time frame is from Friday June 15, 2018 at 6 p.m. until Monday June 18, 2018 at 6 a.m.

There were various calls for service consisting of noise complaints, alarms, 911 hang-ups, domestic/family disputes, Liquor Licence Act complaints, mischief complaints, motor vehicle collisions and impaired drivers.

There were 11 domestic disputes which led to 1 person being charged for a Criminal Code offence.

Domestic violence continues to have a negative impact on our society. Domestic violence is a crime that affects persons of all backgrounds and found in all levels of society.
