Two people from Alberta are each facing multiple charges after Orillia OPP officers executed a search warrant in Innisfil on Feb. 28.

Officers from the local detachment's Community Street Crime Unit seized a large quantity of fentanyl, cocaine and cash after executing search warrants at a condominium, storage unit and vehicle "in relation to drug trafficking throughout Simcoe County," notes a media release from the Orillia OPP.

During the search at the condo, one of the suspects sustained an injury and had to be transported to a local hospital for treatment. As a result of the injury, the province's Special Investigations Unit (SIU) was contacted and have invoked their mandate.
