A Barrie resident is facing multiple charges after being pulled over in Collingwood, including a second impaired driving charge in the last 90 days.

Just before 2 a.m. Sunday, Ontario Provincial Police stopped a driver they say was going 170 km/h on Highway 26 near Fairgrounds Road.

The driver was arrested for stunt driving and police say they were also found to be impaired.

In addition, OPP say the 26-year-old had their driver’s licence suspended due to impaired driving offences in May.

The driver is facing seven new charges including operation while impaired, stunt driving and driving while under suspension.

They’re scheduled in court in Collingwood next month.
