A Severn woman is facing numerous charges following a collision Friday in downtown Orillia.
At about 9:45 p.m., emergency crews responded to a two-vehicle crash on Mississaga Street East. Officers on the scene “observed the driver of one of the involved vehicles to be impaired by alcohol,” according to an Orillia OPP news release.
Jillian Hepinstall, 22, has been charged with operation while impaired (alcohol), refusing to comply with a demand, being a novice driver refusing to provide a breath sample, and having care and control of a motor vehicle with liquor readily available.
Her driver’s licence has been suspended for 90 days and the vehicle will be impounded for seven days.
The accused is scheduled to appear in court in Orillia in January.
