A snowmobile driver collided with a tree Tuesday in Muskoka Lakes Township.

A Nova Scotia resident was taken to hospital Tuesday after a snowmobile collided with a tree in Muskoka Lakes Township.

At 1:30 p.m., a Bracebridge OPP officer happened upon the scene on Ontario Federation of Snowmobile Clubs Trail C102D at Butter and Egg Road. Police and Muskoka paramedics attended the scene, and the 53-year-old snowmobiler was taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Police remind snowmobilers to exercise caution with changing snow conditions and to drive appropriately.
