An Orillia woman is facing impaired driving charges after OPP were alerted of a potential impaired driver. The car, above, was located in a parking lot in Bracebridge.

On Tuesday, May 31, 2022, just before 8 a.m. a concerned member of the public called Bracebridge Ontario Provincial Police to report a possibly impaired driver in the area of South Muskoka Falls Road in Bracebridge.

Officers located the vehicle in a parking lot near Winhara Road and after an investigation into their driving, arrested and charged 45-year-old Carole Blevins of Orillia, with operation while impaired and over 80.

She will appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in Bracebridge to answer to her charges. Furthermore, her driver's licence has been suspended for 90 days and vehicle impounded.

Police rely on members of the public to be 'extra eyes' to help take impaired drivers off the roads and appreciate the efforts made to call police with concerns.
