Two Orillia residents are facing drug charges after search warrants were executed Thursday at two Davey Drive addresses.

Police said the arrests were made as a result of an ongoing drug trafficking investigation.

A 43-year-old man has been charged with possession of a Schedule 1 substance. He was released from custody and is set to appear in Orillia court Sept. 12. Police are not releasing the man’s name “to protect the integrity of the investigation,” according to an Orillia OPP news release.

A 17-year-old male has been charged with possession of a Schedule 1 substance (fentanyl), possession of a prohibited device (brass knuckles), and possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose. He was “diverted to the courts” on those charges, police said.
