I am an 87( almost 88 yr. old widow . I was active in my Church, and The Senior's groups at both the Legion & Tie Club. Then arthritis hit ,and bus days were over. So now it's a taxi one day a week , and sit home 6 days a week, but I love to read .
Strange I just finished going through my Amazon invoices , and discovered several for some music sites which I did NOT order (Today's so called music is NOT music to my 40's & 50's music ears ), so I had to click "unsubscribe "on them . It used to be we could trust Amazon completely ...what has happened ? It's also impossible to talk to a human when you have a problem at Amazon .(If anyone has an address where a human can speak to your problems , I'd love to have it !) Thanks

Also as a member of Westmount United Church , my husband and I knew Doug very well and respected him immensely . My condolences to his family , may he RIP with our Lord.

I just have 1 question ...(I am not for or against fireworks ...years ago, we were one of the residents that let off backyard fireworks, then we got older and started going to the park to watch experts set them off , now I'm really old and have no concern one way or the other) ...but ...how many fires have been started , within city limits , by fireworks ?

My condolences to Bernice's family on her passing ...while I haven't seen her for many years ...we were both active in Orillia's senior Club (The TIE Club) . but poor health (and Covid) stopped those days for us both.

To all those who want to change (and destroy) a national icon ...LEAVE IT ALONE ! read the Green Gables books as a child in the '40's, & loved them..my children read the books in the 60's & 70's, , then their children in the 80's, 90,s and 2000s, and now my great great grandchildren are at an age when they will start reading real books ......and some people want to change them ? Please...LEAVE THEM ALONE ...Lucy Maud Montgomery was a national hero to many of us ...I visited the Home in the late 80's , in fact I was planning to move to PEI after retirement ...until I realized just how far it would be from all my family . Please don't let these people who want to destroy historic literature have their way !

more than 100 times a month ? but...that would be 3 trips every day ...skip a day ...6 trips the next...who would make that many trips on a bus in 1 day ? I have a Connect pass , but I don't have the monthly one because I likely wouldn't use it up before it expires ...yes...it has an expiration date . Instead, I pay more , over $100.00, but can use it until it's empty , no expiry date , and automatic reloading when it gets down to a $20.00 balance

I for one can't wait ...I am pretty much a housebound elderly lady , but I do love my pot pies , but hate cooking for one ...If you have a delivery service, you can be sure I'll be using it !

Totally agree about those grocery store bags ...but also add Compost bags...those suckers are so difficult to open it takes me about 15 min. of rubbing before I find a tiny breach ...who thought they were inventing something helpful...any woman could do better !
