Almost $30K in cocaine, crack, oxycodone seized during traffic stop

Two suspects, including one from Midland, face trafficking charges

TINY TOWNSHIP - Members of the Southern Georgian Bay Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) conducted a vehicle stop on Simcoe County Road 6 in the Township of Tiny during the afternoon hours of March 17, 2020.

Officers conducted an investigation and after a search of the vehicle a quantity cocaine, crack cocaine and oxycodone with a value of approximately $29,600 was seized and two vehicle occupants were arrested.

As a result of this investigation Rose Copegog, 44 years of Christian Island; and Sheila Kidd, 54 years of Midland have been charged with the following offences:
    •    Possession of a schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking - cocaine
    •    Possession of a schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking - crack cocaine
    •    Possession of a schedule I substance - opioid
    •    Possession of proceeds of property obtained by crime under $5,000

The accused were both released to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Midland on May 28, 2020.
