Omemee man dies in Sturgeon Road single vehicle crash

Yesterday, April 7, 2018, emergency services personnel from the City of Kawartha Lakes, including officers from the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a single vehicle collision on Sturgeon Road that occurred at approximately 7 p.m.

The lone occupant of the vehicle, a 44-year-old male from Omemee, was pronounced deceased at the scene of the collision.

Officers from the OPP's Technical Collision Investigations attended the scene of the collision. Sturgeon Road between King's Wharf Road and Four Points Road was closed for several hours and reopened shortly after 1 a.m. 

The investigation is continuing.
