Single-vehicle crash results in impaired, drug possession charges

GRAVENHURST - Bracebridge Ontario Provincial Police responded to a report of a single vehicle collision on Wednesday, July 31 at 6 p.m. on Kingswood Road in Gravenhurst, during which the vehicle left the roadway, travelled across a lawn and struck a pole.

Muskoka Paramedic Services attended, provided medical assistance to the driver and transported him to hospital for further treatment.

As a result of their investigation into the collision, police have charged 63 year-old Bogdan Jakubasz of Gravenhurst with operation while impaired by drug CC 320.14(1)(a), possession of heroin and possession of cocaine CDSA 4(1).

He will appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in Bracebridge on Aug. 27, 2019 to answer to his charges.
